NIMHANS Project Associate (A-BIG-NET) Walk-in Selection 2026 – Notif NIMH/PROJ/ABIGNET/PA/01720

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, is conducting a Walk-in Selection for the post of Project Associate on a contract basis for the project "Asian Bipolar Genetics Network (A-BIG-NET)" funded by ABIGNET, under Dr. Biju Viswanath, Professor of Psychiatry & Principal Investigator (Notification No. NIMH/PROJ/ABIGNET/PA/01720/C8/C17/NOTIF/2026-2027, dated 31.07.2026).

Vacancy Details

Essential Qualification

• Postgraduate Degree in Life/Basic Sciences/Neurosciences/Neuropsychology OR Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course.
• Essential Experience: Experience with longitudinal cohort studies involving patients with bipolar disorder; data analysis with programming skills in Python, R, bash scripting or equivalent.
• Desirable: Knowledge of statistics and imaging genetics; strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills; interest in pursuing a PhD.

Duration

Project duration: 3 years 5 months (till 31 December 2029). Initial appointment for 6 months, renewable every 6 months based on performance till end of project.

Documents Required

Resume and original testimonials along with a set of self-attested photocopies. Candidates working in projects at NIMHANS must produce NOC from their PI. No TA/DA paid.
