The National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi invites applications for 02 posts - Project Scientist-I (01) and Project Scientist-II (01) on the time-bound sponsored project "GANANA: India-EU initiative for Scientific High-Performance Computing" funded by the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), under Project Investigator Dr. Narendra Kumar (Staff Scientist-IV); project tenable till 14.04.2028.

Vacancy Details (Total 02 Posts)

Contract for one year or the duration of the project, whichever is shorter. No hostel/housing facility will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential: PhD in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Systems Biology / Biophysics or any closely related interdisciplinary area involving computation in life sciences; Masters Degree in Engineering and Technology from a recognised university or equivalent.
• PS-II additional: 3 years of experience in Research and Development in industry, academic institutions, science and technology organisations and scientific activities and services.
• Desirable: protein structure modelling, molecular simulations or structural prediction tools (AlphaFold, Rosetta, docking workflows); machine learning / deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) for biomedical or omics applications; high-performance computing (HPC) environments; bioinformatics tools and pipelines (sequence alignment, structural bioinformatics); data management and version control (Git); preparation of technical reports, documentation and project deliverables; ability to work in interdisciplinary projects with national and international partners.

Job Profile

• Support bioinformatics and computational structural biology activities focused on immunology: large-scale structural and sequence analysis of immune complexes, development and integration of sequence-structure datasets, and development, training and benchmarking of AI/ML models for antigen binding prediction using HPC/GPU resources.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on the application; only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (offline/online mode).
• Shortlisted candidates must submit attested copies of all certificates at the time of interview along with application fee.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview; canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
