- Master's degree in Science in Geological Sciences / Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Sciences / Remote Sensing & GIS / Engineering Geology, or equivalent
- OR Master's degree in Engineering (M.Tech) in Civil Engineering / Water Resources / Agricultural Engineering (Land and Water Resources Development)
- Selection through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) / GATE, or a national-level selection process of a Central Government department or agency such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER or NISER
- Desirable: higher qualifications, research experience and published papers in water resources; field experience in water / air-moisture sampling and report writing
- Maximum age 30 years as on the date of interview; 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates
- Walk-in with complete bio-data in the prescribed format, passport photograph, originals and self-attested copies of qualifications and experience
