National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee – Project Associate-I (Walk-in Interview)

The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, a Government of India society under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, invites candidates for a walk-in interview for selection to the post of Project Associate-I under the ANRF PM ECRG project titled “Geochemical and isotopic fingerprinting of hydrological, hydro meteorological and hydrogeological processes sustaining Yamuna river”. Age Limit

• Maximum age for Project Associate-I shall be 30 years as on the date of interview.
• The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Government of India rules.

General Conditions

1. Professionals with the requisite qualifications and experience prescribed would be eligible for the appointment of the above post.
2. Selected candidates would be engaged for a fixed period for providing high quality services to the Institute for attending specific and time-bound jobs.
3. The appointment would be on a full-time basis and the appointee would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of consultancy with NIH.
4. The appointment is purely temporary on a co-terminus basis and does not entitle the appointee to any claim, implicit or explicit, to any NIH post. The appointment can be cancelled at any time by the Institute without assigning any reason.
5. The initial term of appointment and subsequent extension(s), if any, shall be decided on a case-to-case basis depending upon the specific job and the time frame for its completion.
6. Selected candidates shall not be entitled to any allowance such as Dearness Allowance, Residential Telephone, Transport facility, Personal Staff etc.
7. Transit accommodation may be provided as per prevailing rules of the Institute; the applicable licence fee shall be charged and the accommodation vacated on termination or expiry of tenure, whichever is earlier.
8. Selection will be made through walk-in interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining the appointment on a contractual basis. TA/DA is admissible only for travel inside the country in connection with official work.
9. Candidates can directly attend the walk-in interview on the prescribed date and time at NIH along with complete bio-data, passport-size photograph and original proof of qualification and experience, and must also bring self-attested copies of their certificates. Candidates may report at the NIH-Roorkee interview time; after the interview starts, admission will not be allowed.
10. The bio-data must state the Advt. No., the post applied for, name, father’s name, date of birth, age, nationality, marital status, category (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Gen), address, telephone number, details of qualifications (from High School onwards with exam passed, year of passing, board/university, subjects, division and percentage), work experience (organisation, period, nature of work), research papers published, knowledge of software, any other additional information, list of enclosures, and signature with date.
11. The number of posts may increase or decrease depending on the project.
12. Out-station candidates are required to make their own boarding and lodging arrangements at Roorkee.
