NCRTC – Assistant Manager / Operations (2 Posts) on Direct Recruitment Basis – Vacancy Notice 36/2026

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) – a joint venture of the Government of India and the participating State Governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs – is mandated for implementing the Namo Bharat Project in the National Capital Region.

The Namo Bharat Project is a new, dedicated, high-speed, rail-based, high-capacity, comfortable, state-of-the-art, world-class commuter service connecting regional nodes in the NCR. Three corridors are envisaged in the first phase – Delhi–Meerut, Delhi–Gurugram–SNB–Alwar and Delhi–Panipat–Karnal. At present, NCRTC is implementing the Delhi–Meerut corridor, which has now been fully opened for commercial revenue operations. NCRTC’s motto is “Gati se Pragati”.

Essential qualification: Engineering Graduate (Full Time).

Essential experience: Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience in –

• Systems operations, maintenance and development
• Digital systems, IoT and electronics
• Cyber physical systems for SCADA
• Rail-based systems and safety systems, etc.

Job description

• Monitoring KPIs pertaining to train operations, passenger amenities, station operations, OCC, etc.
• Monitoring daily revenue records and their reconciliation.
• First-level in-charge of development works of “unmanned station operations”.
• Automation of inspections and O&M maintenance.
• In-charge of stations / train / OCC / BCC, etc. for O&M.

Required skill sets

• Rail-based systems; operations and maintenance management
• IoT, sensors, data science, AI/ML and other systems

Required pay scale / CTC

Notes: The essential education qualification is mandatory, and only full-time regular courses will be considered. The date reckoned for determining eligibility is 24.09.2026. All essential qualifications must be from a UGC-recognised Indian University / UGC-recognised Indian Deemed University, or an AICTE-approved course from an autonomous Indian institution / concerned statutory council. Candidates claiming equivalence in qualification must produce a copy of the equivalence certificate. Wherever CGPA/OGPA/CPI or a grade is awarded instead of marks, the equivalent percentage must be indicated, with documentary proof from the University/Institute at interview, if called. In case of Degree/Diploma in Management qualifications mentioning a dual specialisation, one of the specialisations must necessarily be function-specific for the post advertised.

Age relaxation

Cumulative relaxation for one or more categories taken together shall be admissible. Age concession to PwBD candidates is admissible irrespective of whether the post is reserved for PwBD or not. OBC candidates belonging to the ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled to OBC-NCL concession and must indicate their category as ‘General’.

Emoluments

Basic pay applicable in the grade, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), HRA/Lease at applicable rates, and perquisites and allowances under the Cafeteria Approach, plus other benefits and allowances as per extant Company Rules.

Place of posting

The selected candidate may be posted at any office / workplace / project unit of NCRTC or of its subsidiaries / joint ventures, and may be assigned jobs or functions as per business requirements, including working in shift operations.

Selection process

• Written Test / CBT: 80% weightage  |  Interview: 20% weightage.
• Merit list on the combined score; minimum qualifying marks: 60%.
• Venue, date and time of the Written Test / CBT will be notified on the website in advance. Requests for change of date or venue will not be entertained.
• Candidates appear for the Written Test / CBT at the allotted centre at their own risk and expenses; no TA/DA is payable.
• Shortlisting for interview in order of merit, category-wise, in the ratio 1:5.
• Document verification is done before the interview; original certificates must be carried, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

2. Before registering, read the detailed instructions. Keep ready: a valid e-mail ID and mobile number; a scanned self-attested recent passport-size coloured photograph (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, up to 100 kb, .jpg/.jpeg only); and a scanned signature (signed on white paper with blue/black pen, up to 100 kb, .jpg/.jpeg only).
3. Upload self-attested copies of the documents listed below along with the online application.
4. After submitting the online application, download the application form generated by the system with the Unique Registration Number, take a printout and attach the supporting documents.
5. Send it by hand / post, so as to reach on or before 23/10/2026, at the address below.

Documents to be uploaded / attached

Candidates must possess a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number, and keep it active during the entire recruitment process – the registration number, password and all communications are sent to the same registered e-mail ID. Once the form is submitted it cannot be edited, so candidates should preview the application before submitting. The name should be entered exactly as it appears in the SSC/Matriculation Certificate. No request for change of mailing address, e-mail ID, category or post will be entertained.

Health / medical fitness

Appointment is subject to medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed by the Company. For executive/technical posts: physically fit in all aspects; distance vision 6/9–6/9 or 6/6–6/12 with or without glasses/contact lens; near vision J1–J2 with or without glasses; colour, binocular, field and night vision normal. Lasik surgery is not allowed – total myopia (including cylinder) should not exceed 4 diopters and total hypermetropia should not exceed +4 diopters. Candidates suffering from cancer or kidney/liver failure and transplantations shall not be considered. A pre-employment medical examination from an NCRTC-nominated hospital/centre or a Central/State Government hospital is required. The detailed standards are as per the Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM).

Service bond and probation

The selected candidate shall have to execute a service bond of Rs. 05 lakhs plus GST and the cost of training, if any, to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of three (03) years. After joining, the employee has to undergo a probation period as per Company Policy.

Other terms and conditions

• Only Indian nationals above 18 years of age are eligible to apply, and only candidates working/employed as on 24.09.2026 (the reckoned date of eligibility) are eligible.
• Computation of experience: for combined government and private-sector experience as on the reckoned date, private-sector experience carries 80% weightage and government-sector experience 100% weightage.
• Teaching or freelancing experience shall not be considered as qualifying experience. Experience on a post/level is counted from the date of assumption of charge.
• Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories may apply against unreserved posts if they meet the unreserved eligibility criteria, but will not get any relaxation in age or qualifying marks at any stage. OBC Creamy Layer candidates must apply as ‘General’.
• PwBD candidates must submit a disability certificate issued by a Competent Authority as prescribed under the RPwBD Act, 2016. EWS candidates must produce a valid ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ for the current financial year.
• NCRTC employees with at least one year of service as on the date of notification of vacancy are given age relaxation to the extent of completed years of NCRTC service.
• Candidates once selected who do not join for any reason shall be debarred for two (02) years from the date of the offer of appointment.
• Canvassing, directly or indirectly, will result in disqualification. Disputes will be settled within the jurisdiction of the Delhi High Court only. In case of dispute on interpretation, the English version shall prevail.
• NCRTC reserves the right to fill or not fill any of the positions and to cancel/restrict the selection process without further notice.
