NCPOR Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Walk-in Interview 2026 – 04 Posts
ESSO-National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR), Goa, an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, invites eligible candidates for Research Fellow (Junior Research Fellow) positions under project mode on temporary contract basis through Walk-in Interview / Online (Advt. No. NCPOR/2026/07).

Eligibility
JRF-01: Master’s degree in Geology/Geophysics/Applied Geology/Applied Geophysics/Marine Geology/Marine Geophysics or B.E./B.Tech in relevant subject with 60% marks + NET (incl. Assistant Professorship)/PhD or GATE. Desirable: marine geological/geophysical data analysis, Fortran/Python/C++/MATLAB.
JRF-02: Master’s degree in Marine Science/Oceanography/Physical Oceanography/Atmospheric Science or B.E./B.Tech in relevant subject with 60% marks + NET/PhD or GATE. Desirable: oceanographic/atmospheric data analysis, numerical modelling, MATLAB/Python/FERRET.
JRF-03: Master’s degree in Chemistry/Marine Chemistry/Chemical Oceanography/Marine Sciences/Hydrochemistry/Environmental Sciences or B.E./B.Tech in relevant subject with 60% marks + NET/PhD or GATE. Desirable: chemical oceanography, seawater analysis (nutrients, trace gases, trace metals).
Important Dates & Procedure
- Walk-in Interview: 11 September 2026 (Friday); Registration 08:30 AM to 10:30 AM (late candidates NOT allowed).
- Online Interview: candidates submit application + documents by email to pa-admin@ncpor.res.in by 07.09.2026 (Monday) 5:00 PM; link forwarded after preliminary verification.
- Cut-off date for age & eligibility: 11.09.2026.
- Post is temporary (project mode), initially 1 year, extendable/curtailable.
- OBC relaxation as per GoI norms; valid OBC (NCL) certificate 2026-27 required. No TA/DA for interview.
