CSIR-NCL Pune Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 – N2 Reduction Electrocatalyst
CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune invites online applications for engagement as Project Associate-I (4 posts) on a purely temporary basis under the project "Exploring N2 reduction electrocatalyst surfaces from UHV to near ambient pressures using Photoelectron Spectroscopy" (Project Code NCP060401), sponsored by CSIR, as per Notice No. 2026/CSIR-NCL/CAT/NCP060401/840.

Qualifications
Minimum: Master/Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences/MVSc/Animal Sciences OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine OR equivalent.
Desirable: Master's in Chemistry with specialization in General/Inorganic/Physical Chemistry or Nanoscience & Nanochemistry; experience in Nanomaterial Synthesis and Surface Spectroscopy.
Job Requirement
- Structure-versus-activity correlation studies to understand nitrogen electrochemistry through surface spectroscopy
- Prepare electrocatalysts and study N2 activation to ammonia
Emoluments
(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for candidates qualified in CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (incl. lectureship) or GATE or national-level exams by DBT/DST; (ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others.
