Munitions India Limited (MIL) - a Schedule 'A' Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) under the Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence, Government of India - invites applications from eligible retired senior officers for the post of Director, DPSU Coordination Cell (DCC) to be set up at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), on a full-time contract (tenure) basis.

The DCC's primary objective is to promote long-term collaborative research between DPSUs and IIT Madras through research scholars (B.Tech/M.Tech) across various fields of science and engineering.

Post Details

Eligibility

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor degree in Engineering / Technology / Science or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
• Desirable: Post-graduate or higher degree in Engineering / Technology / Science.
• Experience: Retired from a DPSU in E-8/E-9 pay scale or equivalent Central Government Level-14 and above; OR retired Professor/Associate/Scientist (IISc, IITs, etc.) from equivalent grade; OR retired Central Government officer of Level-14 and above. Minimum 20 years of relevant operational, technical and managerial experience in defence production, R&D or technology management, preferably in the field of high energy materials, ammunition and explosives or related defence technology.

Terms

• Fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,30,000/- per month; no annual increment during the contract.
• Eligible for Economy class air travel / AC-2 tier rail travel / AC taxi and DA at rates applicable to the level from which retired.
• 30 days leave per year (2.5 days per calendar month); 11 casual leave per year; no more than 5 days leave in a month / 3 consecutive days except on medical grounds.
• Tenure-based engagement; governed by applicable DPE/MIL guidelines.

Selection Process

A Selection Committee constituted by MIL will scrutinise applications and shortlist candidates based on qualifications. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee. Order of merit may be based on total experience & qualifications, specific DCC-related experience, and requirements with CMD/MD approval.
