Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released the Junior Scientific Officer (JSO) (Advt. No. 18 of 2026-2027 (Memo No. A.12026/9/2026-MPSC(PRE))) to fill 12 vacancies. The last date for submission of application is 2026-08-27.

One-Time Registration (OTR) on the MPSC online portal is mandatory before applying. A corrigendum has also been issued for this recruitment (see MPSC notice board). Application via UPI must use the OTR-registered mobile number.

• Chemistry: M.Sc. Forensic Science / Chemistry / Biochemistry
• Ballistics & Toolmarks: M.Sc. Forensic Science / Physics / Mathematics or Applied Mathematics OR B.E. (Civil/Mechanical)
• Questioned Documents: M.Sc. Forensic Science
• Photography: M.Sc. Forensic Science (Digital/Multimedia) OR B.E./B.Tech. or above in CS/Electronics
• Cyber Forensic: M.Sc. (Cyber/Digital Forensics) / M.Sc. Forensic Science (Digital/Cyber) / B.Tech. or above in Cyber or Digital Forensics / MCA / M.Sc. IT / B.E. and above in CS
• Age 18-30 years as on 01.08.2026; upper age relaxable up to 5 years for ST/SC
• Computer Proficiency (Mizoram Recruitment Rules 2023) and Mizo Language Proficiency qualifying test (exempt if Mizo studied in Class-X within Mizoram or MIL outside)
• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in relevant discipline OR B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. IT for specified divisions, from a recognised university/institute
