• Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the State Level Biotechnology Centre, PGI, MPKV, Rahuri, purely on temporary and contractual basis for day-to-day academic work, on fixed pay of Rs.45,000/- per month.

• Duration: 11 months only, or till the post is filled on regular establishment, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility

• Essential: Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biochemistry, along with NET conducted by UGC/ICAR/CSIR.
• Retired Professors from Government Colleges may also apply.
• M.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biochemistry (as applicable).

Nature of Work

• Conduct theory and practical classes of concerned courses; carry out academic programmes as directed by the University; work for examination/admission/cultural & sports cell; perform other college duties directed by the Associate Dean; help scientists in their research work.

Terms & Conditions

• Appointment is purely temporary for 11 months or till the post is filled on regular establishment, whichever is earlier.
• Candidate must execute an undertaking not to leave the assignment halfway or without one month's prior intimation.
• Appointment automatically terminates on joining of a person on regular establishment; indiscipline leads to termination without intimation.
• Selected candidate must work full-time/full-term and cannot accept any other appointment during the contract; resignation requires one month's prior notice or payment of one month's fixed pay.
• Tenure appointment with no right to claim permanency; may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason.

How to Apply

• Apply on plain paper giving full details as per the enclosed proforma to the Associate Dean, Post Graduate Institute, MPKV, Rahuri, Dist. Ahilyanagar - 413722 with all required documents.
• Pay a processing fee of Rs.500/- by Demand Draft (drawn on a nationalised bank) in favour of the "Comptroller, MPKV, Rahuri" along with the prescribed application form.
• Attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents. Eligible candidates will be interviewed by a University-approved Selection Committee; attend at own cost. Produce all original documents at the interview, failing which candidature will be rejected.
