The office of the Secretary, Revenue Servant (Kotwal) Selection Committee & Tahsildar Mandangad (also Executive Officer, Mandangad Panchayat Samiti), District Ratnagiri, invites applications for 6 vacant Revenue Servant (Kotwal) posts in Mandangad taluka under the Maharashtra Revenue & Forest Department Kotwal Bharti 2026 programme (letters पदभ-२०२५/प्र.क्र.९८/आस्था-१० dated 19-08-2026, 03-09-2026 and 01-10-2026). The last date for filling vacancies under this Kotwal cadre recruitment was extended to 09-10-2026.

Interested candidates must apply in person at the Tahsildar Office, Mandangad from 02-10-2026 to 17-10-2026 during office hours (public holidays excluded), in the prescribed format with all documents.

Eligibility

• Education: minimum 4th standard pass and knowledge of the Marathi language.
• Age: minimum 18 and maximum 40 years as on 02-10-2026. The post is unclassified, so no relaxation in the age limit or for exempted categories applies.
• Residence: candidate must be a resident of Mandangad taluka.
• Reservation: for reserved posts, a caste/category certificate from a competent authority and a Non-Creamy Layer certificate (where applicable) must be attached. SEBC candidates must hold a Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 29-01-2025; EWS candidates get a 6-month extension for producing the final EWS certificate.
• Conduct: no criminal case should be registered against the applicant. Selected candidates must take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India.
• Residence obligation: after appointment the candidate must reside in the allotted sajja and submit an undertaking to that effect; on joining, a security deposit must be paid under Rule 51 of the Bombay Financial Rules 1959.
• Nature of duty: the Revenue Servant (Kotwal) is a full-time employee.

Selection Process

1. Written examination: 100 objective questions as per the guidelines in Government of India Revenue & Forest Department circular दि.१७/०५/२०२३ - 50 questions x 2 marks = 100 marks, no negative marking.
2. The written examination will be held on 15-11-2026; candidates must bring the printed admit card and a valid identity document.
3. Answer key and result declaration on 16-11-2026, followed by document verification and appointment.

How to Apply

1. Download the 4th standard marksheet or school leaving certificate; also obtain a residence certificate from the Tahsildar and a Maharashtra domicile certificate.
2. Attach attested copies of Aadhaar card, ration card, PAN card and driving licence.
3. For reserved posts, attach the caste certificate (or certified Caste Validity Certificate) and a currently valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate; EWS candidates must also attach the EWS certificate (proportionate income certificate, valid up to the last date of application).
4. All photocopies must be attested; any single-page or uncertified copy makes the application liable to rejection.
5. Female candidates must attach their maiden-name proof (marriage certificate / divorce decree) or a family certificate; they must also give their father's name.
6. If the name was changed after passing 4th standard, attach the attested Government Gazette proof; candidates who have passed 10th or 12th must attach those certificates as well.
7. Print the exam hall ticket and keep it with you on the day of the written examination.
8. Submit the completed form in person at the Tahsildar Office, Mandangad with the examination fee, between 02-10-2026 and 17-10-2026.
