Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), Veterinary College, Shivamogga invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in-Interview on Thursday, 08 October 2026 at 10:30 AM for engaging manpower purely on a contractual basis at the Sentinel Surveillance Site under the National One Health Programme for Prevention and Control of Zoonoses (NOHP-PCZ) Scheme for the financial year 2026-27 (No. VCS/VPENOHP-PCZ/Manpower-Contractual/2026-27, dated 28.09.2026).

Essential Qualifications
Data Entry Operator: Graduate with a 1-year Diploma course in Computer Application with one year experience in the related field.
Laboratory Technician: Graduate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University/Institute/Hospital; OR Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) of at least 2 years' duration; OR Diploma/Certificate in MLT of at least one year's duration, along with the prescribed experience. Desirable: Diploma in Animal Husbandry (2 years); candidates with expertise in handling animals and collection of clinical samples from animals shall be preferred.
Job Responsibilities (indicative)
- Data entry on IDSP/IHIP and other electronic databases on a real-time basis; analysis of demographic, clinical and laboratory data.
- Identification/enrolment of eligible patients in sentinel surveillance; specimen collection and lab diagnosis; routine testing of clinical samples for zoonotic diseases.
- Assistance in organizing training programmes and technical meetings; compilation of monthly reviews and periodic reports.
- Participation in SLZC/DLZC along with the Nodal Officer; any other work assigned by Programme Division, DZDP, NCDC, New Delhi.
