ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Eligibility may be fulfilled under Category A or B:

A. Master’s Degree + NET Route

1. Master’s degree with 55% or equivalent grade.
2. NET (UGC/CSIR) required (unless exempted under UGC rules).

B. Ph.D. Route

Ph.D. from a top-500 ranked university as per:

Guidelines based on 100-point criteria are as follows:

II. Constitution of Screening/Shortlisting Committee

• Committee constituted as per University Ordinance XVIII.
• Includes:
• Chairperson (nominee of Principal)
• Two subject experts (University panel)
• One SC/ST/OBC/PwBD representative (if applicable)
• Minimum quorum: 3 members

III. Shortlisting Criteria & Procedure

1. Candidates will be ranked on the basis of 100-point score.
2. Shortlisting limit:

• 40 candidates for the first vacancy
• 20 candidates for each additional vacancy

1. Minimum score required:

• 55 marks for General,
• Relaxation of 5 marks for SC/ST/PwBD categories.

1. If 40 candidates not available, cutoff may be relaxed:

• Max relaxation of 5 marks (50 for UR, 45 for SC/ST/PwBD).

1. Publications considered must be:

• UGC-CARE or SCOPUS indexed.

1. Experience counted only if salary is paid by employer not less than UGC minimum basic pay + DA.
2. Guest faculty experience not counted.
3. Experience during M.Phil/Ph.D. period not counted as teaching unless officially assigned duties.

IV. Important Notes

1. Recruitment after shortlisting will be in two stages:

• Stage 1: Assessment by Presentation Assessment Committee.
• Stage 2: Interview by Selection Committee.

1. Responsibility for correctness of information rests entirely with the applicant.
2. Any discrepancy or forged documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
3. College may modify/cancel any communication at any stage.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interviews.
5. Canvassing will result in disqualification.
6. Disputes fall under jurisdiction of Delhi.
