Karnataka Forest Department (KFD) has released five separate notifications for recruitment of Group 'D' Elephant Kavadiga (Ane Kavadiga) posts across five forest circles: Kanara (Shirsi), Kodagu (Madikeri), Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Shivamogga.
Total Vacancies: 57 (51 fresh + 6 backlog vacancies across all five circles).
Educational Qualification / Eligibility: Experience in elephant handling/management mandatory; candidates residing within a notified forest area in Karnataka; working knowledge of Kannada (speak and understand).
Age Limit (as on 03.09.2026): Minimum 18 years; Maximum - General 35 years, Category IIA/IIB/IIIA/IIIB 38 years, SC/ST/Category-I 40 years (with relaxations).
Salary: Group D Pay Scale Rs. 29,600 - Rs. 52,800.

Selection Process: Interview and performance assessment (100 marks) - no written examination; assessment of Kannada proficiency and practical elephant handling capability.
