- Total Vacancies: 25 (20 General + 05 Special/Backlog), subject to increase or decrease.
- Nature of Post: Group ‘B’, Gazetted/Temporary/Contributory Pension.
- Reservation: Vertical and horizontal reservation applicable only to Uttarakhand domicile candidates as per prevailing government orders. Candidates must claim reservation in the online application form; no reservation benefit will be given if not claimed.
- Preferential Qualification (Desirable): Post-graduate degree/diploma in Veterinary Science; OR minimum 2 years service in Territorial Army; OR ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate of National Cadet Corps.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC (Uttarakhand); 5 years for Freedom Fighter dependents; 5 years for Divyang (Group B posts); up to 5 years for Ex-servicemen based on service period; No age relaxation for EWS category.
- Nationality: Indian citizen or eligible as per prescribed categories (Tibetan refugees, persons of Indian origin migrated from specified countries).
- Marital Status: A male candidate having more than one living wife, or a female candidate married to a person having more than one living wife, is not eligible.
- OBC Certificate Validity: 3 years from date of issue (as per Government Order No. 310 dated 26-02-2016). Must be valid up to the last date of application (14 September 2026).
- EWS Certificate: Must be based on income of financial year 2025-2026 and valid for financial year 2026-2027.
- Ex-Serviceman Reservation: Once an ex-serviceman avails reservation benefit and joins government service, he/she will not be eligible for ex-serviceman reservation again (as per UKPSC notification dated 24 April 2026).
- Divyang Reservation: Minimum 40% disability required. Sub-categories for reserved posts: OA, OL, LV/PB, HH/PD, DW, AAV/AV.
- Application Cancellation: Candidates can cancel and re-apply before the last date; fee paid will not be refunded.
- Admit Card: Will be available for download from the official website; will NOT be sent by post.
- Question Paper Objection: Two-stage online objection process: Stage 1 (free, within 7 days of paper publication for structure/options); Stage 2 (Rs. 50 per question, within 7 days of provisional answer key publication, non-refundable).
