Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Written Competitive Examination (Online Mode): A common written competitive exam of 2 hours duration consisting of Objective Type (Multiple Choice) questions only.
- Part-A (60% weightage): Technical questions at Degree in Engineering level in the respective discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil).
- Part-B (40% weightage): (i) Reasoning & Mental Ability, (ii) Mathematics (Class-XII level), (iii) General Knowledge & Everyday Science (with special reference to Rajasthan), (iv) Hindi General (Class-X level), (v) English General (Class-X level).
- Negative Marking: There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Minimum Passing Marks: UR category: 30% in Part-A & Part-B; SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS/Ex-servicemen/PWBD: 20% in Part-A & Part-B.
- No Interview: There shall be no interview.
- Merit List: Category-wise merit lists shall be prepared based on marks secured in the written exam. In case of tie, date of birth (elder candidate ranked higher) shall be the deciding factor. Apprenticeship training in a Vidyut Nigam under Apprentices Act, 1961 shall give preference in that Nigam.
- Document Verification: Candidates up to 2 times the number of vacancies under each category shall be called for document verification in order of merit.
- Final Appointment: After document verification, a Common Merit List shall be prepared and appointment/allotment of company shall be done based on merit, company preference, and category-wise vacancy availability.

- Probation Period: Selected candidates will initially be engaged as “Probationer Trainee” for two years at a fixed remuneration of Rs. 23,700/- per month.
- Governing Regulations: Engineers Service Regulations, 2016 and Scheduled Areas Engineers, Ministerial & Class-IV Service (Recruitment & other Service Conditions) Regulations, 2017 shall govern this recruitment.
- Company Preferences: Candidates must give their company preferences in the application form itself. Preferences are final and irrevocable.
- Examination Centres: Candidates must choose 6 preferred centres from the list (Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Dausa, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Sikar, Sriganganagar, Udaipur). Allotment is subject to administrative convenience.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS male candidates; 5 years for General category women; 10 years for SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS women; 5 years additional for PwBD; 15 years for Ex-servicemen (max age 50 years); No upper age limit for widows, divorced women, and in-service candidates of the same Nigam.
- Disqualification Criteria: Candidates with more than one spouse living, those who accepted dowry at marriage, or those having more than two children born on or after 01.06.2002 are not eligible (with certain exceptions).
- Transgender Candidates: Will be considered under OBC category as per GoR letter dated 26.05.2023, unless already covered under SC/ST/MBC/EWS with valid certificate.
- TSP Area Candidates: Candidature will be considered against both TSP and Non-TSP area vacancies.
