JKSSB Divisional Cadre Various Posts Recruitment 2026 – 72 Posts
Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has published a recruitment notification (Advt No. 07 of 2026) for the recruitment of 72 posts of Draftsman (Civil), Sub-Inspector, Junior Statistical Assistant, Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant (MVTA), Junior Librarian, Library Assistant and Depot Assistant in the Divisional Cadre of J&K. Only Migrants (SRO 412 of 2009) and Kashmiri Pandits (SRO 425 of 2017) are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility Category: Only 'Migrants' as defined in SRO 412 of 2009 or 'Kashmiri Pandits' as defined in SRO 425 of 2017 are eligible.
- Domicile: Must be a Domicile of UT of J&K and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before the cut-off date (08.09.2026).
- Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026): OM – Max 40 years (not born before 01.01.1986, not born after 01.01.2008); SC/ST/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC – Max 43 years; PwBD – Max 42 years; Ex-Servicemen – as per rules.
- Indenting Department: Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DMRRR), Government of J&K.
Selection Process
- Selection based on merit in the Written/OMR Examination only.
- Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions set in English Language only.
- Negative Marking: One-fourth (1/4) of marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Shortlisted candidates called for Document Verification (DV).
- Syllabus, date and venue of examination notified separately on JKSSB website.
- Recruitment under SRO 412 dated 30.12.2009 read with SRO 425 dated 10.10.2017.

How to Apply (Online)
- Visit the official JKSSB website at www.jkssb.nic.in.
- Read the Advertisement Notification No. 07 of 2026 carefully.
- Fill the Online Application Form with all required details (Name, DOB, Father's/Mother's Name as per Matriculation, Email ID, Mobile Number).
- Upload live photograph, signature (10-20 KB), Category Certificate (max 100 KB PDF), and Qualification/Experience Certificates (max 100 KB PDF).
- Pay the application fee online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card (Rs. 600/- General; Rs. 500/- SC/ST-1/ST-2/EWS/PwBD).
- Submit the Online Application Form before the closing date of 08.09.2026 and take a printout for future reference.
- In-service candidates must also submit the printout through proper channel (HoD) to the Office of the Secretary, JKSSB, by or before the last date of Document Verification.
Other Important Information
- Reservation as per Category-wise break-up conveyed by the Indenting Department and J&K Reservation Act/Rules. If candidates not available from reserved category (other than RBA), posts may be filled from Open Merit.
- Horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD as per extant rules.
- PwBD candidates may avail Scribe and/or compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination.
- Mobile phones, electronic devices, smart watches, AI-enabled devices, cameras, Bluetooth devices strictly prohibited in examination hall.
- Only one online application per Item Number; the latest application will be considered.
- No TA/DA will be paid for written test or document verification.
