JTET Admit Card 2026 – Quick Overview

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, will hold the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026 on 01 November 2026 (Sunday). Admit cards will be available for download from 15 October 2026 on the official JAC website, as per Notice No. 62/2026 dated 28.09.2026 (against Advt. 24/2026).

JTET Exam Date and Timing 2026

The eligibility test is held at two levels in two sittings on the same day.

Candidates must reach the centre well before their sitting; entry is barred once the gates close.

JTET Exam Pattern (JTET Rules 2026)

  • Two levels: Level-1 for Classes 1–5 and Level-2 for Classes 6–8; a candidate could apply for one or both levels.
  • Single composite question paper per level with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes (30 minutes extra for visually-disabled candidates).
  • Objective-type (MCQ), OMR-based; the paper is set in Hindi and English, and the medium is Hindi or English (language-subject questions in the concerned language).
  • Level-1 questions are based on the Classes 1–5 syllabus (difficulty of Matric standard); Level-2 questions are based on the Classes 6–8 syllabus (difficulty of Intermediate standard).
  • There is no re-evaluation or re-checking of OMR sheets after result declaration.

How to Download JTET Admit Card 2026

  1. Open the official JAC website (jac.jharkhand.gov.in).
  2. Go to the JTET 2026 / Admit Card section (Notice No. 62/2026).
  3. Log in with the registration/application credentials.
  4. Download the admit card (available from 15-10-2026) and take a clear printout.
  5. Check name, level/paper, exam date, shift, centre and all instructions.
  6. No admit card will be sent by post or any other mode.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Carry the printed admit card plus an original photo ID (Aadhaar) – entry without both is not allowed.
  • Reach the examination centre well in time for your sitting; latecomers will not be admitted after gates close.
  • Differently-abled candidates eligible for scribe facility must complete the scribe formalities through the district office before the exam, as laid down in the notification.
  • Rely only on notices, directions and updates published on the official JAC website.
