Medical Officer Selection Board-2025 (MOSB-2025), Ministry of Home Affairs through Directorate General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has invited online applications for Group 'A' post of Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant) in Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB) & Assam Rifles. Candidates must indicate their choice of preference for CAPFs & AR in the order of preference.

- Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) – 115 Posts
- Force-wise: BSF-46, SSB-23, CRPF-05, ITBP-23, Assam Rifles-08
- 10% of vacancies in the rank of Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) are reserved for Ex-Servicemen
- Pay Scale: Level-10 in the Pay Matrix (7th CPC) i.e. Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- per month plus Non-Practicing Allowance and other admissible allowances
- Type of Post: Permanent, Group-'A', Combatised, governed by the Act and Rules of the respective Force
- Probation: Two (02) years; Minimum service: 10 years
Age Limit
- Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date of receipt of application (08.09.2026)
- Relaxation: SC/ST up to 5 years, OBC (NCL) up to 3 years, Govt. Servants up to 5 years, Ex-SSCOs of Army Medical Corps up to 5 years; cumulative relaxation up to 10 years for SC/ST and up to 8 years for OBC where eligible
Essential Qualifications
- A graduate degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S.) or equivalent from a recognised university/institution included in the first schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
- Enrolled in any State Medical Register maintained under the Act
- Completed compulsory rotating internship
Selection Process
- Documentation of original testimonials
- Interview of 200 marks (minimum qualifying 40% i.e. 80 marks)
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height 157.5 cm (Male) / 142 cm (Female) with chest relaxation norms; relaxable per category
- Medical Examination Test (MET) with review medical examination (RME) provision

- Rs. 400/- for UR/OBC/EWS Male candidates (online payment gateway)
- Exempted: SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates
