- Desirable: Lineman (MV) licence (Electrical); industrial maintenance / RAC / masonry building experience (trade-wise).
- Age 18–25 (relaxation per GoI/DAE rules). 3-shift/substation duties apply.

Written exam and/or screening + mandatory Trade/Skill Test (practical, safety, hands-on). Syllabus/standards on iopb.res.in.
