IOB Security Guard Recruitment 2026 - Advt No. HRMD/SS/RECT/01/2026-27
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a leading Public Sector Bank with headquarters in Chennai, invites online applications for the post of Security Guard from eligible Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Agniveers for appointment in Chennai/Tamil Nadu. Online applications: 25.08.2026 to 14.09.2026 at www.iob.bank.in.

Vacancies are reserved exclusively for Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Agniveers (excluding Disabled Ex-Servicemen). This post is not identified for reservation under PwD category.
Eligibility
- Age (as on 01.08.2026): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 26 years. Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen (up to max 45 years) and Agniveers (21 years + service + 3 years).
- Educational Qualification: Pass in 10th standard or equivalent; candidate should not have passed Graduation. Should be able to speak, read and write Tamil.
- Medical Standards: Minimum SHAPE-1 or AYE as applicable at the time of valid discharge from Armed Forces.
- Ex-Servicemen from Army/Navy/Air Force. Candidates completing SPE on or before 30.09.2026 may also apply.
Pay and Emoluments
Pay scale (12th Bipartite Settlement, Subordinate staff cadre): Rs. 19,500-665/4-22160-830/5-26310-990/4-30270-1170/3-33780-1345/3-37815. Basic pay will be fixed based on the last drawn salary during defence service. Probation: six months.
Selection Process
- Objective Type Test (Online) - 80 marks (English 20, Aptitude 20, Arithmetic 20, Psychometric 20).
- Local Language Test (Tamil) - 20 marks.
- Physical Fitness Test.
