Project and Job Description
The Project Research Scientist-II will develop and optimise multiplex nucleic-acid-based assays for rapid and differential detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and drug-resistant tuberculosis. Responsibilities include design and optimisation of molecular bioassays, nucleic acid extraction, PCR / RCA and related amplification strategies, biomarker and target selection, assay development, multiplexing and integration with optical or other biosensor-based readout systems, and documentation of results for reports, patents and publications.
