- Qualification & experience (any one):
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or allied field plus at least four years of relevant R&D experience in industry, academia, research institutions or related technical services; OR
- Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or allied field plus at least two years of relevant R&D experience; OR
- Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or allied field
- Minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from the undergraduate level onwards and minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in both Class 10 and Class 12
- Desirable: strong CFD background with OpenFOAM proficiency; understanding of fluid mechanics, turbulence and combustion; HPC experience; basic machine-learning model development; expertise in at least one programming language with Python proficiency; good communication skills

Job Description
- Work on reduced-order combustion modeling for hydrogen-enriched gas-turbine combustors, focusing on computationally efficient LES and flashback prediction as part of an ANRF-funded project
- Generate and analyze methane-hydrogen 1D flame datasets, develop PCA-based reduced-order models and physics-guided machine-learning approaches, implement models in CFD solvers preferably OpenFOAM
- Validate models against detailed-chemistry simulations and experimental data; prepare research publications and technical reports
