IIT Delhi invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF-01) for the project “Development of a high-resolution regional ocean model for marine resource and coastal applications in the Indian Ocean” (ANRF-funded), advertisement no. IITD/IRD/317/2026 dated 6 November 2026.

- Post: Junior Research Fellow-01 – 1.
- Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month plus HRA at 27%.
- Project duration: up to 16 September 2029; appointment is contractual, initially for one year, renewable annually or up to the project duration.
- Department/Centre: Centre for Atmospheric Sciences; PI: Prof. Vimal Koul.
Eligibility
- Master's degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences or any discipline with 80% aggregate or above.
- First class in the bachelor's degree.
- NET/GATE qualified candidates only. The NET/GATE requirement may be relaxed for candidates who graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) with CGPA above 8.0 (80% aggregate marks).
- Desirable: experience in numerical atmosphere and ocean modelling.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates.
