- B.Tech with NET/GATE and M.Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, Energy or Chemical engineering with a minimum of 65% marks.
- NET/GATE may be relaxed for candidates who graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes with a CGPA above 8.000 (80% aggregate).
- Preferably a background in modelling or CFD simulation, furnace design and data analysis.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates.
