IIT Ropar Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Duration: 3 years or project completion, whichever is earlier; initially one year, extendable based on performance. Selected candidates may also apply for the Ph.D. programme.
- Emoluments: As per extant rules.
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Chemical Engineering from a recognized institute with exceptionally good academic record, minimum CGPA 6.5/10 (or 65% marks) and a good GATE/NET score; OR Bachelor’s degree in the same disciplines with minimum CGPA 6.5/10 (or 65% marks) and a good GATE/NET score.
- Desirable: Good understanding of fluid mechanics; experience in experiments; background in surface wettability, capillary phenomena, micro/nano fabrication.
