Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, Research & Development Office invites online applications for a temporary position of Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering under the project Materials for Climate Conscious and Resource Efficient Construction. Essential Qualification/Experience (as per Institute norms)
- PhD in Civil Engineering (candidates who have submitted their dissertation may also apply and the application may be considered; however, remuneration will be adjusted accordingly if selected).
- Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onward and 55% or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th.
Desirable Qualification/Experience
- Strong background in the area of infrastructure materials.
- Previous experience with laboratory experiments related to cementitious materials characterization and/or concrete durability.
- Candidates possessing a good understanding of cement chemistry will be given preference.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to collaborate with other team members.
Job Description
The project will involve activation of industrial wastes for improving their reactivity for their use as cementitious binders for developing low-carbon concrete. The candidate is also expected to mentor MTech students research and support other ongoing projects.
