Essential Qualification/Experience (as per Funding Agency norms)
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- (a) Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests, CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- (b) Selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
- Minimum 60% or equivalent grade in academic qualification from graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th.
Desirable Qualification/Experience
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, Scientific Computing, Computational Science or a related discipline.
- Strong background in functional analysis, numerical analysis, partial differential equations, finite element methods, domain decomposition methods, scientific computing or computational mathematics.
- Programming experience in Python, C++, MATLAB or Fortran will be preferred.
Job Description
The project focuses on the mathematical analysis and numerical solution of linear and nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann equations. The work involves domain decomposition methods, convergence analysis, Fast Multipole Method-based algorithms, scientific computing, and implementation and testing of algorithms in the open-source ddX software.
