Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ANRF project: "Understanding Solar Eruptions to Their Space Weather Impact in a Novel Framework of Magnetic Reconnection and Plasma Dynamics".

Essential(a) M.Sc. in Physics, Astronomy, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field with minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CPI) and valid NET/GATE score; OR (b) Four-year B.E./B.Tech in the above fields with minimum 75% marks (or 7.5 CPI) and valid NET/GATE score.
DesirableExperience in astronomy / solar & heliospheric physics, computer programming and numerical computation.

Age Limit

Upper age limit 35 years (relaxation as per GoI rules). SC/ST candidates preferred, all things being equal.
