Visiting Assistant Professor – Duties
- Teach courses and conduct laboratory sessions as per Institute requirements
- Publish in peer-reviewed/reputed journals and/or internationally recognized conference proceedings
- Obtain research/consultancy projects from external funding agencies
- Participate in development/renovation of teaching & research laboratories
- Design and develop new PG/UG courses
- Organize Continuing Education Programmes (CEP)/Conferences/Workshops/Seminars
- Act as co-supervisor for PhD/Masters students; co-Principal Investigator in extramural projects
Emoluments & Facilities (Visiting Assistant Professor)
- Consolidated emoluments as fixed by Institute Standing Committee (Grades 1-5: Rs. 1,05,000 to Rs. 90,000/-)
- Contingency Grant of Rs. 50,000/- per annum (similar to CPDA)
- Revision of emoluments yearly
- Accommodation in faculty apartment/visitor hostel (on payment of license fee, if available)
- Medical facilities as for regular faculty
- Casual Leave 8 days/year; Earned Leave 2.5 days per completed month; no leave encashment
- Termination on one month notice from either side
Visiting Research Professor / Associate Professor
Eligibility: Academicians or industry professionals joining IIPE full-time for a limited tenure (retired, working, or on sabbatical). Open to Foreign Nationals including OCI/NRI/PIOs.
Emoluments:
- Indian Citizens: Pay Level 14A (Rs. 1,59,100–2,20,200) for Research Professors; Pay Level 13A2 (Rs. 1,39,600–2,11,300) for Research Associate Professors. Pensioners: consolidated pay after deducting basic pension.
- Foreign Nationals (offline): Rs. 3.50 Lakhs/month, expected stay at least 1 month per semester, paid to-and-fro airfare, medical insurance, visa charges; treated as Institute guests.
- Online courses: USD 100 per lecture; desired minimum 15 days at IIPE during Academic Year.
- Contingency grant Rs. 50,000/- per annum.
