IIM Calcutta Endowment Management Foundation – Vice President (Institutional Outreach)

IIM Calcutta Endowment Management Foundation (IIMCEMF) has been formed for the purpose of reaching out to alumni, corporates and HNIs to further their engagement with the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta through fund raising, to help support the aspirational goals of the Institute. IIMCEMF is a Section 8 company administered by a Board consisting of IIMC alumni, the Director and the Dean (Development and External Relations) of IIMC.

The core role of the Vice President (Institutional Outreach) will be to raise funds through engaging with companies for their CSR contributions to IIMC. This position will report to the CEO.

Job Description

• Identify large corporates with significant CSR spends and engage with them to fund education, research, innovation, scholarships, student needs and infrastructure creation at IIMC.
• Develop business strategies and plans to achieve the fund raising targets assigned to the Corporate Outreach team and to manage expenses within budgets.
• Starting as an individual contributor, build a team to achieve higher targets.
• Engage with and develop good relationships with all Institute stakeholders, including the Director, Dean (DER) and faculty of IIM Calcutta.
• Identify corporates, foundations and family offices and engage with them to create interest in contributing to IIMC.
• Collaborate with the Institute team in identifying projects relevant for institutional outreach.
• Enable meetings with prospective donors' senior management teams to visit IIMC and ensure a successful visit.
• Follow through with potential donors once a cause has been identified, to get fund commitments and disbursements.
• Keep up to date with notifications from government ministries, including the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, that have a bearing on CSR.
• Organise and conduct CSR-themed networking events for potential and existing donors.
• Keep donors updated on deployments and project progress.
• Work closely with the VP (Alumni and HNI Outreach) to synergise efforts wherever possible.
• Engage with the Marketing Manager to ensure effective design and execution of campaigns supporting target achievement.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of working experience with proven experience in roles with responsibility for revenue/profit targets. Sales/marketing professionals, corporate bankers and those with similar fund-raising responsibilities are preferred profiles. An entrepreneurial mindset, achievement orientation, effective communication skills and good inter-personal skills are key attributes. Prior experience of engaging with corporates for CSR fund raising would be preferred. A good bachelor's degree with an MBA from a premier institution is required; alumni of IIM Calcutta will be preferred. Location: Kolkata preferably. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
