IIMA Vice President (Research) – India Gold Policy Centre (IGPC) Recruitment 2026
Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) – India Gold Policy Centre (IGPC), an academic research-based think tank on gold with focus on Indian gold economy and business (since November 2014), invites applications for the position of Vice President (Research) – IGPC.
IGPC has direct and close engagement with industry and policy makers, addressing problems relevant to Indian gold industry, facilitating scholarly research and bringing together stakeholders of the gold market.
Job Description
- Engage with stakeholders across the gold value chain and bring together academic research at IIMA along industry needs and policy advisory
- Proactive engagement with policy planners, ministries and regulators and stay abreast on technicalities and dynamics of the market
- Consultative approach in creating roadmap for industry growth
- Develop new research initiatives involving IIMA’s academic resources
- Act as effective link (information exchange, meetings, conferences) between policymakers, gold producers, manufacturers/distributors, consumers and IIMA academic community
- Support developing academic resources on practice and policy for educational purposes and contribute to training needs of industry
- Identify advisory and consultancy needs through bonafide agencies
- Timely delivery of assignments including report writing, reviewing research documents and organizing events
Qualification & Experience
- PhD / MBA / CA / CFA / CAIA / Masters (or higher) in Economics or Public Policy from reputed institution with experience in sectoral policies
- Strong knowledge about regulations in precious metals industry and / or demonstrated experience to rapidly learn and adapt to the precious metals industry
- Minimum 18 years work experience in industry and/or research
