IIMA Associate Vice President – Executive Education Programme (AVP-EEP) Recruitment 2026

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) invites applications for the position of Associate Vice President – Executive Education Programme (AVP-EEP) from candidates with demonstrated excellence in managing L&D activities with organisations worldwide.

IIMA’s Executive Education Programmes are the most expansive management programmes in India, with a portfolio of over 200 programmes. Customized programs are curated in consultation with organizations, whereas open enrolment programmes are based on a particular theme/sector. Programmes are offered at the IIMA campus, online, at the Dubai Campus and at client locations across the world.

Role Overview

The incumbent will lead IIMA’s engagement with corporate L&D / HR teams and with working professionals seeking management education, work closely with IIMA faculty to design and deliver open enrolment and customised programmes for different sectors/themes, build and nurture relationships with clients in different sectors, and develop alliances with other global business schools for co-branded programmes. The person will report to the Chairperson – Executive Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the executive education team for creating an extraordinary experience for clients; drive improvements in SOPs and guide marketing and delivery teams across programmes.
• Engage CXOs / CHRO / L&D heads in conversations on enhancing organisational capabilities through learning interventions; build long-term relationships with clients and knowledge partners.
• Assess learning needs of various sectors and facilitate two-way exchange between IIMA and stakeholders.
• Target appropriate audiences via networking events, roadshows, digital and social media promotions.
• Work with IIMA faculty to design and develop innovative programmes.
• Develop and execute a long-term annual plan for open enrolment and customised programmes covering planning, revenues, expenses, manpower, infrastructure and technology procurement.
• Develop and monitor KPIs of the EE team and improve performance.
• Coordinate with IIMA’s Dubai Campus to facilitate joint delivery of programmes.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements

• MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institute with at least 15 years’ experience of which at least 5 years should have been in a senior position.
• Experience at senior level involving designing, developing and marketing of executive education programmes, L&D activities or related professional services.
• Capable of strategic thinking with excellent execution skills – relationship marketing, digital marketing, process improvement, programme administration, people development, consultative stakeholder engagement and knowledge of adult learning practices.
• Knowledge of L&D requirements of various industries and good understanding of key management topics (strategy, leadership, finance, accounting, marketing, OB/HRM, operations/logistics, digital, ethics, CSR) is desirable.
• Experience with integrated marketing techniques and innovative promotional vehicles.
• High energy, enthusiasm, creativity, team leadership, ability to interface with faculty and sustain close relationships with senior executives.
• Experience with asynchronous programmes will be an asset.

Age Limit

Maximum 55 years (No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen for this particular position).

Salary & Tenure

• Appointment on Tenure Based Scaled Contract for a fixed term of 3 years, extendable as required.
• Placed in Pay Level 13 under 7th CPC pay matrix (besides salary, other benefits at par with permanent employees). Candidates slightly below prescribed standard may be considered for General Manager in Pay Level 12 – Institute decision final.
