- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the relevant area and an excellent academic record
- Associate Professor: 6 years experience including 3 years as Assistant Professor (Grade-I); age preferably up to 45 years
- Assistant Professor (Grade-I): 3 years experience excluding Ph.D. period; age up to 35 years
- Assistant Professor (Grade-II): Ph.D. (provisional award acceptable); experience desirable, not essential; age up to 35 years

- Priority areas for this drive: Artificial Intelligence (agentic AI, machine learning, GenAI applications), Digital Transformation (digitisation, digital commerce and ecosystems) and Analytics (advanced data analytics, business intelligence and big data)
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent with a successful research and publication record and at least 6 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (Grade-I) in an institution of repute; preferable age limit 45 years; Level 13A2
- Assistant Professor (Grade-I): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree and an excellent academic record, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience excluding the Ph.D. period; age limit 35 years; Level 12 - moves to Level 13A1 after 3 years
