The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is inviting applications for the position of Research Associate to support research led by Prof. Amit Garg, National Investment & Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) Chair in Environment, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG).
The position offers an opportunity to contribute to national and international research projects in climate change, sustainable development, ESG and public policy.

Educational Qualification
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, preferably:

Candidates should preferably be familiar with data analytics tools such as:
Python
R
Excel
An understanding of ESG, climate change or sustainable finance will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Research Associate will contribute to:
Quantitative and economic analysis
Statistical modelling and AI-based research/training using R, Python and Excel
ESG-related data analysis
Analysis of climate-related financial disclosures such as ESG, BRSR, TCFD, SASB and SFDR
Supporting Indian funds and companies in aligning with international sustainability frameworks
Conducting literature reviews on climate policy, sustainable finance and climate-related financial disclosures
Secondary data collection, data cleaning and analysis, including large datasets
Supporting capacity-building workshops and training modules on ESG and climate reporting
Preparing research reports, papers and publications
Supporting project administration and institutional coordination
Research Environment
The selected candidate will work with a research team engaged with diverse communities and policy issues related to:
Climate change
Sustainable development
ESG
Public policy
