Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi invites applications for engagement of 01 Legal Officer purely on contract basis (Advt. No. NT/Con./Del./17/2026).

| Essential Qualification | LLB Degree with Post Graduation (55% marks or equivalent CGPA). Extensive experience in handling legal matters in Government Organisations / Government Undertakings / PSUs / Central or State Government Offices / Autonomous Body / University / Educational Institution, including Service Laws, Labour Laws & Codes, Land Laws, legal drafting and vetting of documents, and liaison with Government offices and statutory authorities. Minimum 5 years experience of working in a similar position in a Higher Educational Institute or Institute of repute. Excellent command over English (proficiency in Hindi preferred) and working knowledge of computer applications. |
| Desirable | Work experience as Senior Legal Associate / Legal Associate from large-scale industries / a law firm appearing in High Court / PSU / similar autonomous institution of higher education. |
| Key Responsibilities | Develop and implement an effective legal compliance system; preparation of para-wise comments on court and grievance matters; RTI and other statutory compliance (e.g., RPWD Act); support to ICC, SC/ST Cell, Grievances Committee; liaising with external advocates; legal advice on institutional issues; vetting of MoUs, agreements and contracts. |
