Research Staff Recruitment – ICSSR 2nd Call for Longitudinal Studies in Social and Human Sciences

About the Project

The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (Deemed-to-be University), Hyderabad, invites applications from eligible candidates for the following research positions under the ICSSR 2nd Call for Longitudinal Studies in Social and Human Sciences.

The project is titled:

“Evaluating the Impact of Solid Waste Management Interventions on Households and Government Solid Waste Management Practices in India.”

This project aims to assess the effectiveness of solid waste management strategies implemented across various states in India and their impact on household behavior, local governance, and sustainable practices.

Available Positions

1️⃣ Research Assistant – One (01) position

2️⃣ Field Investigators – Four (04) positions (one each for Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, and Odisha)

Essential Qualifications

For Research Assistant:

• Postgraduate degree in any Social Science discipline with at least 55% marks.
• Candidates with NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D. will be given preference.

For Field Investigator:

• Postgraduate degree in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

• Strong background in Social Science Research.
• Experience in field survey design, data collection, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS, or R-Studio.
• Good command over English and the local language of the state for which the candidate is applying.
• Field Investigators should be residents of the respective states (Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, or Odisha).

Remuneration

• Research Assistant: ₹37,000 per month
• Field Investigator: ₹20,000 per month

Project Tenure

• Research Assistant: 10 months
• Field Investigator: 7 months

Job Location

• Research Assistant: ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad
• Field Investigators: Selected districts of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha
