Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, under Indian Railways, invites online applications for engagement as Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentices Act-1961 & RBE No.120/2015 in the designated trades, duly giving preference to candidates from Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility
- Qualification: 10th/SSLC (min 50% marks) with Science & Maths; Ex-ITI candidates must hold NTC in the notified trade; MLT requires 12th (Physics, Chemistry & Biology).
- Age: ITI candidates 15-24 years; Non-ITI (Fresher) 15-22 years (as on 07/09/2026). SC/ST +5 years, OBC +3 years, PwBD +10 years relaxation.
- Residency: Applicants must be residents of / registered with a local Employment Exchange in Tamil Nadu (ward of Railway employee exempt).
- Candidates with Degree/Diploma/Engineering or course-completed Act Apprentices are not eligible (except MLT - 12th).
Stipend
- Freshers - Class 10th pass: Rs. 8,200/- per month
- Freshers - Class 12th pass: Rs. 9,600/- per month
- Ex-ITI (National/State Certificate holder): Rs. 9,600/- per month
- 10% increase in stipend during the second year of training.
Application Fee
Rs. 100/- + service charges (non-refundable), payable online. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
Selection Process
Merit list based on marks obtained in Std X (IX std / X std half-yearly marksheet for COVID-pass candidates). Selection is for apprenticeship training only - no employment guaranteed.
