ICAR-Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA) invites applications for hiring of two positions of Young Professional-II (YP-II) for its English Editorial Unit (EEU) and Production Unit at KAB-I, Pusa, New Delhi on a short-term, purely contractual basis.

Educational Qualifications

YP-II (Editorial Work) – Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science / Animal Science or allied sciences; OR
• Master’s degree in English Journalism or related subjects; OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural / Animal Science or allied sciences with PG Diploma in English Journalism, OR minimum one year experience in editorial capacity in a reputed national-level journal/publisher.

Experience: Post-qualification experience of minimum one year in editing or proofreading, especially for scientific research journals, magazines, newspapers and books, or working with reputed publishers.

YP-II (Publication Production) – Essential Qualifications:

• Graduates with at least 60% marks in Computer Application / Information Technology / Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Operating System / Software Engineering / Computer Graphics with at least one-year experience in the relevant field; OR
• Degree/Diploma in Printing/Publishing Technology with at least 60% marks with at least 1-year experience in Graphics Designing with specialization in Publishing Software, InDesign, Corel Draw, Photoshop, etc.

Desirable: Basic knowledge of PageMaker/InDesign, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, typography, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and AI tools for communication.

Age Limit

Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years as on the date of advertisement, with relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Selection Procedure

Selection based on weightage of marks: Qualification (20), Experience (20), Skill test (30) and Interview (30). Total 100 marks.

Terms & Conditions

• Consolidated emoluments of Rs. 42,000/- per month. No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid.
• Initial engagement is for one year, extendable for two more years (01 year at a time) up to a maximum of three years (1+1+1).
• TA/DA: AC-2 Tier/AC Chair Car and DA at fixed rate of Rs. 1,500/- per day for domestic official tours.
• Leave: 08 days leave per calendar year on pro-rata basis and 02 restricted holidays.
• Working hours normally 09:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Unauthorized absence of 08 continuous days leads to automatic termination.
• Female Young Professionals entitled to maternity leave as per Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act 2017.
• The engagement is purely time-bound, non-regular and co-terminus. No claim for regularization.
• Candidates already employed must produce a "No Objection Certificate" from the present employer.
