ICAR-CRRI – Walk-in-Interview for Student Internship

The eligible candidates are requested to apply for one (01) position of Student Internship under the DST-SERB Grant Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) programme at ICAR – Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack.

Project & Position Details

Eligibility

• M.Sc. (Biotechnology / Ag. Biotechnology / Botany / Life Science)
• Those who have completed their Master's degree within the last two years on the date of interview will be given preference.

Job Description: Hands-on training on plant tissue culture, and genome editing in plants.

Selection Criteria

Students will be selected based on their academic profile and research interest. Selected candidates will be intimated by e-mail regarding their selection.

Terms & Conditions

• The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the scheme/project. The service of the appointed candidate will stand terminated automatically after expiry of the scheme/project or on completion of the period indicated in the offer of engagement, whichever is earlier, and the candidate will have no right for absorption in ICAR-CRRI/ICAR. The age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
• Eligible and desirous candidates are advised to bring one recent passport-size photograph, original educational certificates from matriculation onwards (even if the documents are available on Digilocker) along with xerox copies and experience certificate in the relevant subject, at the time of appearing in the walk-in-interview on the scheduled date, time and place. The Biodata form may be downloaded from the website.
• Director, ICAR-CRRI reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or to cancel the recruitment process. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding.
• In case of a large number of candidates, a screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for the interview.
• All eligible candidates will be considered equally; however, preference may be given to candidates with work experience in an ICAR institute.
• No TA and DA for appearing in the interview are admissible.
• Canvassing in any form will render the candidate liable to disqualification for the position.
• Candidates who are currently employed or pursuing studies in any institution must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective employer/institution at the time of the interview.
• No candidate will be entertained strictly after the scheduled reporting time.
