Applications are invited for engagement of a Junior Research Fellow (01) and Scientific Administrative Assistant / Field Worker (01) in a DBT-funded project (24-895) at the Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, purely on contractual/temporary basis. Corrigendum issued on 15.09.2026 corrected the Field Worker post designation to Scientific Administrative Assistant / Field Worker (as per DST O.M. No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10.07.2020).
Eligibility Details
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Masters in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Agricultural Biotechnology)
- Selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE or national-level examinations by Central Government Departments (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.)
- Desirable: Experience in crop genetics and breeding, field and laboratory experimentation, data analysis, documentation, wheat diseases, molecular biology, gene mapping, statistical analysis
Scientific Administrative Assistant / Field Worker
- Essential: Graduate Degree in any discipline
- Desirable: Experience in field and lab work related to agriculture
