- 10+2 from a recognised Board/University; OR Matriculation with one/two-year ITI Diploma/Certificate in IT-enabled sectors; OR three-year Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/IT from an AICTE-approved polytechnic
- Computer typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi
- Minimum 40% permanent disability (Orthopedically Handicapped) with a certificate from the District Medical Board
- Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh desirable; applicant should be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh
