Position Details

• Post Title: Research Fellow – I
• Unit: Population Research Centre (PRC)
• Number of Vacancies: 01
• Type of Appointment: Contractual (as per PRC/GIPE norms)
• Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess at least a Second Class Postgraduate Degree from a recognized Institution/University in any one of the following disciplines:

• Demography
• Population Studies
• Statistics
• Economics
• Mathematics
• Sociology
• Public Health

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience (experience counted after completion of post-graduation).
• Candidates with Ph.D. qualifications may be given relaxation in experience requirements in deserving cases, as per institute norms.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Research Fellow – I will be expected to:

• Assist in population-based research projects and surveys
• Perform statistical and quantitative data analysis
• Support report writing, documentation, and publication activities
• Contribute to policy-oriented research and academic outputs
• Assist senior researchers in project implementation and coordination

Selection Process
