Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), a State University established by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, invites applications for one Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF-01) in the area of Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) / Information Technology (IT) & IT Enabled Services (ITES) at the University School of Information, Communication & Technology (USICT), GGSIPU, Dwarka, Delhi, for the Academic Year 2026-27, under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics & IT: Phase II, sanctioned by the Digital India Corporation, MeitY, Government of India.

Important Dates

Eligibility

1. The PDF is awarded to researchers with a proven academic record throughout, including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions.
2. The applicant must have obtained a PhD degree from a recognised University.
3. The applicant should be an Indian citizen.
4. The upper age limit is 40 years on the date of submission of application.
5. Applicants should not have completed their PhD from GGSIPU.
6. The applicant should have completed the PhD within the past 5 years as on the last date of submission.
7. Candidates currently in regular employment will not be considered. However, scientists or researchers with temporary positions in academia or research institutions would be considered, but they would be required to relinquish their current roles if selected.
8. Candidates who have already availed the fellowship under the scheme are not eligible for support.
9. The candidate must not receive any other fellowship during the award period.
10. The candidate must have at least two (2) SCI/SCIE/ESCI indexed research publications as first author, and at least two conference presentations (India or abroad) or equivalent granted patents.
11. Hands-on experience with research tools such as Cadence / HFSS / MATLAB / Opti System / VNA etc. is desirable.

Duration

Full-time, non-transferable, temporary position tenable in India only. The fellowship is valid for 1 year. Any extension beyond one year is not admissible under the scheme.

Research Proposal

The research proposal should have well-defined objectives, expected outcomes and deliverables, in areas including but not limited to VLSI Design, Microstrip Patch Antenna, and other areas of Electronics System Design & Manufacturing / IT & IT Enabled Services.

How to Apply

The prescribed Application Form (ANNEXURE-I) must be duly filled in. Separate sheets must be attached for the Research Proposal and the List of Research Publications. The filled-in Application Form along with all requisite documents and attachments, arranged in the prescribed serial order, must be compiled into a single PDF file and uploaded through the designated Google Form on or before 14 October 2026 by 05:00 PM.
