The Government e-Marketplace (GeM), a Government company under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, invites applications for 01 post of Senior Manager – Product Approval (Level E-4) on a contractual basis under the Project Management Unit (PMU) for an initial period of 5 years, extendable on performance and organisational requirements (last date extended to 9 October 2026).

Role overview

• Manage the Product Approval function – timely and accurate processing of product catalogue approval requests per GeM policies, technical specifications and regulatory requirements
• Manage approval operations on the GeM portal; examine category relevance, images, MRP documents, model numbers, specifications and certifications (BIS / BEE / MTCTE / CDSCO); handle complex cases, RTI and grievances; develop SOPs; monitor productivity, quality and pendency; coordinate with Technology, Category and Helpdesk teams; prepare MIS and dashboards; drive automation

Essential qualification and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Management / Commerce / Science from a recognised institution
• Minimum 8 years total professional experience including at least 3 years in catalogue management, quality assurance and certification, public procurement, supply chain management or e-commerce operations
• Posting at New Delhi; crucial eligibility date is the last date of receipt of applications
