Eligibility Criteria
- Officers retired or due to retire by 30 November 2026 from Central Government / Autonomous Body of Central Government.
- DRDO Chair: retired Distinguished Scientist (DS) or equivalent, Pay Level-16.
- Distinguished Fellowship: retired Outstanding Scientist (OS) or equivalent, Pay Level-15.
- Fellowship: retired Scientist 'G' or equivalent, Pay Level-14.
- Maximum age: up to 5 years after superannuation.
- Tenure: contractual, initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years on annual renewal; no DA/HRA/accommodation except Transport Allowance.
- Application must be endorsed by the Lab Director and Cluster DG; liability to serve anywhere in India.
- Selection by screening committee and selection committee.
