Overview
Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam has invited fresh online applications for filling up 579 vacant posts of Land Record Assistant (LRA) under the amalgamated establishment of District Commissioner's Offices (except Sixth Schedule areas). Applications are invited in exercise of powers conferred by the Assam Land Records Sub-Ordinate Service Rules, 2023, as relaxed vide Govt. Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13/08/2026, and in cancellation of the earlier advertisement No. DLR-11013(21)/50/2025/130 dated 14/03/2026. Candidates who have completed the six months Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) training at the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre and have been declared proficient are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed the Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40, and been declared proficient in the mandated examination (both Survey and Settlement subjects) before the commencement of Govt. Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13/08/2026.
- Computer Proficiency: Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese/Bengali.
- Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 40 years as on 01-01-2026. Age relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. OM No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 02/09/2020.
- Age/DOB calculated from Class-X/Class-XII admit card/pass certificate/marksheet issued by a recognized Board/Council.
- Candidates already in Central/State Government service must apply through proper channel and produce NOC.
Selection Process
The examination comprises two components, carrying a total of 100 marks:

Negative Marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each incorrect answer in the Written Examination.

The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks in the Written Examination and Skill Test, subject to securing prescribed minimum qualifying marks in both components and fulfilling all eligibility conditions upon document verification.
