Applications are invited for appointment to 10 Panchayat Secretary (Local Assistant) posts in the villages of District Panchayat Balrampur-Ramanujganj, Chhattisgarh, on the contractual/tenure basis under the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service (Temporary Appointment) Rules 1998 and the CG Panchayat Service (Conduct and Appeal) Rules 1999. This is a local duty post — only permanent local residents of the district may apply, and a certificate issued by the competent authority is mandatory.

Eligibility

• Educational: (1) Local academic qualification prescribed for appointment of Gram Panchayat Secretaries — pass the Higher Secondary examination from a recognized Secondary Board; (2) one-year Diploma in Data Entry Operator / Programming from a government-recognized institution.
• Residency: applicant must be a permanent local resident of Balrampur-Ramanujganj district; the certificate issued by the competent authority shall be treated as valid.
• Age: 18 years completed and maximum 35 years, with relaxation as per state Government directions for ex-servicemen, and for departmental retirees/retirees as notified by the Government.
• Employees of Government, semi-Government and Government-undertaking bodies must obtain a no-objection certificate.
• Only one application may be submitted. An incomplete form will be rejected.
• Applicant must not be employed in a Government Body/Undertaking/Local Body; the application will be cancelled at any stage if found employed.
• Temporary employment will not be counted for leave and gratuity.
• The post carries an interdiction liability: a candidate against whom any such record exists will be disqualified.

Pay Scale

• Rs. 3500-11000 pay scale with annual increment of Rs. 1,100, plus dearness allowance and other allowances as per rules.

Selection Process

• (a) Higher Secondary marks — 50 marks
• (b) Higher educational qualification — maximum 10 marks
• (c) Computer Skill Test — 25 marks
• (d) Experience as Rozgar Sahayak — maximum 15 marks (merit 3 marks per completed year >3 years; 5 years — minimum 9 months)
• Against the 10 advertised posts, 10 candidates will be called for the Computer Skill Test.
• The test comprises 15 minutes for answering the question paper and 15 minutes for typing.

• Apply on the prescribed format downloaded from https://balrampur.gov.in/.
• Attach self-attested copies of passport-size photograph, signature/photo affixed in the space provided, Aadhaar card, and the qualification certificate of stenographer/typist or equivalent issued by the District Panchayat.
• Attach the permanent residence certificate issued by the competent authority, the Aadhaar copy, and a no-objection certificate if applicable.
• Send the completed form to The Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Balrampur-Ramanujganj (C.G.), Pin 497119.
• Applications must be marked “Local Duty” and must reach the office by 23-10-2026 by 05:30 PM. Any form received after that date, or without the signature of the applicant, will not be considered. Applications sent after the due date will be rejected.
