The Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Visakhapatnam (a subordinate office of the Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India) has issued a Notice of Vacancy for filling up 1 (One) post of Navigational Assistant Grade-III. Reference: No. (9189) EST VSP-06002(03)/1/2026-Establishment, dated 07-10-2026. The vacancy is advertised in Employment News dated 03-09 October 2026, Advertisement No. 06/2026, pages 08 and 09.

Place of posting: Initial posting shall be at any Lighthouse / DGNSS / NAVTEX Station under Visakhapatnam Directorate and the incumbent shall be liable to be transferred anywhere in India.
How to Apply
Completed applications in all respects should reach The Director, Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Deep Bhavan, Port Residential Area, Saligrampuram, Visakhapatnam-530024, Andhra Pradesh, preferably by Speed Post or Registered Post, superscribed with Application for the post of Navigational Assistant Grade-III. The Department will not be responsible for any postal delay.
The prescribed application format (Annexure) is enclosed with this notice in the PDF. Applications are to be submitted on A4 size good quality paper in capital letters, with a recent passport size colour photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, not more than 3 months old) pasted but not attested, with the candidate signing below the photograph. Candidates presently employed in Central/State Government, Autonomous bodies, PSUs or Public Sector Banks must apply through proper channel or enclose a No Objection Certificate.

- For North Eastern Region (Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim), Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Chamba and Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep: the last date will be 7 days more than the closing date.
- Age shall be reckoned as on 01/11/2026 for all candidates.

If the closing date happens to be a public holiday, the next working day at 1700 hrs will be the last date for receiving applications, and the Directorate will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss.
