DCB Junior Engineer (Electrical) Syllabus 2026
The Delhi Cantonment Board (DCB), under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, has published the Indicative Syllabus for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) against its online recruitment (Advertisement RDA/DCB/2026). The syllabus is divided into Section A (General Subjects) and Section B (Electrical Engineering Core Subjects).
Exam Pattern – Section A
Section A tests the general aptitude of candidates through four subject areas:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: verbal & non-verbal reasoning, analogies, similarities & differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal & figure classification, coding-decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.
- General Awareness: History, Culture, Geography, Economics, Science, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, Environmental Issues, Sports, Important Days, Awards & Honours, and Current Affairs of national & international importance.
- Arithmetical & Numerical Ability: number systems, whole numbers, decimals & fractions, relationships between numbers, percentages, ratio & proportion, averages, interest, profit & loss, discount, time & distance, time & work, basic algebra, mensuration, data interpretation and real-life problem-solving.
- English Comprehension: vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms & antonyms, spellings, error detection, sentence improvement, comprehension passages and basic writing ability.
